Elaine was a registered organ donar and has donated her heart, kidneys, pancreas, liver (in two halves) and corneas. We hope and pray that her gift of these organs to others will help improve to their quality of life.
If you believe in organ donation, prove it and join Elaine in saving the lives of others.
Would you take an organ if you needed one? Nearly everyone would. But only 28% of us have joined the Organ Donor Register. More than 10,000 people in the UK currently need a transplant. Of these, 1000 each year – that's three a day - will die waiting as there are not enough organs available.
Please help us turn people’s good intentions about organ donation into action by registering on the NHS Organ Donor Register at http://www.organdonation.nhs.uk/ukt/

Helping others is something Elaine has always done in the five years that I've known her, and it is so typical of her to continue helping others after she has passed.
She continues to be truly wonderful to others.
I love and miss Elaine very much, and am truly devastated by the news. Seeing how strong you have been, helping us by keeping us informed on this blog has made me feel able to leave the house today. It is a comfort to have her in my thoughts.
All my love

Echoing what Suzy has said it IS typical of Elaine to continue to give life and happiness to others even after leaving this world.
I first came into contact with Elaine on Christmas Eve afternoon in 2004. I'll never forget that chance meeting nor her smile, her beauty and her personality which shone through. She was surrounded by little children and immediately it was clear that Elaine had many God given gifts and was loved by many.
At this time I was the same age as Elaine is now and battling with a serious illness. I needed a transplant but was not well enough to be placed on the list.
I decided to go back to that church where I first met Elaine hoping to see her again and I did!
Through prayer a miracle happened and I received a transplant some years later and have made a good recovery.
We can't even begin to understand why God has taken such an amazing girl from this world. The strength and great faith of the Stacey family is incredible and rare.
Thankyou all for your friendship.
I pray that knowing Elaine has potentially saved 5 lives through donating her organs will be of some comfort to Ray, Averil & Jo and all of Elaine's many friends.
Thank you for posting the link for the NHS Organ Donor Register. It prompted me to sign up immediately. I didn't know Elaine but I am a local Guider and am very moved by wonderful tributes to her.
