Jesus answered, "I did tell you, but you do not believe. The miracles I do in my Father's name speak for me, but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one."

Dear Ray
I am so sorry to hear the news that Elaine passed away last night. I have spent the last week with a beautiful image of her swinging upside down from the monkey bars up at Bowstridge playground suspending little people below her. She really was a light in this world. She was so full of life and love and we will all miss her. My family's thoughts are with you.
Kate La Motte.
I am so very very sorry to hear your news. I feel deeply saddened because Elaine was my friend, such a lovely, inspirational friend. Only a few weeks ago we were laughing and enjoying lunch together during a school training course in Greenford, with promises to meet again soon. My thoughts and prayers are now with her family and friends and of course her class of children. I miss you Elaine but you are forever in my heart xxx Gabriella
Thank you Ray for sharing Elaine's last moments with us and I pray that God will give strength to you and your family. Elaine was such a wonderful, passionate, fun-loving and unique person who touched the hearts of many people. I am truly sorry for your loss.
dear Ray Averil and Jo
We are all so sorry, Elaine was an incredible source of love fun and enlightenment. She was always happy and smiling and touched so many people. We will miss her cheery visits, the children are devastated, they just cannot understand how this can happen and we are at a loss to explain it. Our thoughts are with you all and Elaine will stay with us forever.
with love

Dear Ray, Averil and Jo
Our hearts go out to you in love and prayers. I can't help seeing the picture of Elaine and Rachel reunited in the Shepherd's care. What joy for the two sisters as they meet to part no more.
Mum has written this:
She went! In the sunshine of her day
Where her shadow, not to lengthen like ours who have to stay.
To play now with her sister on heaven's glorious shore;
in the river of His pleasure where there is life forevermore.
All our love
Sue, Carolyn and all the family xxx
Dear Ray, Avril and Jo,
I have followed the unfolding story in this site for the last few days and have not had the words to say how much sorrow is felt. I hope the joy in her being safely home now may overwhelm the sorrow soon.
My ongoing love and prayers for you all.
Simon (Retallick).

Ray, Averil and Jo,
All of us are very saddened by Elaine's life being taken from us so suddenly. She was a truly inspirational person that we adored , especially my two girls. It was always fun when Elaine was babysittng.
Elaine may have been very young when her life was taken - however she packed much into those few years and gave an enormous amount to others.
She will always have a special place in our hearts.

We have felt overwhelming sadness since reading that Elaine had passed away. I hope it gives you strength to know how loved she was by so many. Her smile lit up the room and that will stay with us forever. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Niki Gordon Olivia Thomas and Susanna
Hello, I was at school with Elaine but younger. I didn't know her very well but all i remember of her is that she was always smiling and one of the nicest people i've met. She'd always say hello and i'm so sorry to hear what's happened.
I was so very sorry to hear of Elaine's accident. You know how very fond of her I was, both as an RS teacher and later. I cried with joy when I heard Sheffield had a place for her, and now work with Naomi who was a friend of Elaine's in her Bibs year. She stood out as a student, for her care of others and her love of children. I have many memories of your beautiful daughter. As someone who shares your faith I have been very moved by your dignity and trust. I pray for you all and thank God for the joy of knowing Elaine. Niki Gledhill
Dear Ray, Avril and Jo.
We are so sorry to hear your news. We all love Elaine so much. There isn't a month here in France when she is not mentioned, being a memory of when we lived near you in Chalfont, or the visits she made here, in Carlucet. Every time some songs are played in our house, Helen and I look at each other and smile "Elaine". She had the magic touch of everyone feeling at ease, comfortable and happy with her, be it a little blonde toddler or a balding 40 year old. We will always remember her, Elaine was to us the perfect friend and will be so missed. We are very lucky to have known her. Thinking of you, take care. Eric Helen Thomas and Emily.

I feel a huge sense of loss, and cannot get over the loss of my sister in Christ.
I have just finished giving my statement to Dan Carter, he said that he will have passed on my details to you.
He is going to see Russell now and tell him the sad news.
I was first on the scene Sunday, and had a very strong Christian calling to be there with her, I know the Lord wanted me there that night. Please let me know how I can help further and stay close to you.
God Bless,
Ian (07967965298)
I only knew Elaine as a friend of a friend, but the few times our paths crossed left a huge impression. She was always smiling and happy, polite and caring. When I was feeling down, she could make me happy again by saying the right things.
Rest In Peace to the beautiful person that was Elaine Stacey, you may be gone but never will be forgotten
I cannot find the words to say how sorry I am that we have all lost Elaine, it was only last week that I was speaking to her and arranging to meet up soon and I can't believe that it now can't happen. We studied together at Brunel, she was a wonderful friend, person and teacher and she will be so badly missed by everyone.
She was taken too soon.
My thoughts and prayers are with her family and I hope her wonderful life and spirit will be a comfort to you at this time.
Louise
To Mr & Mrs Stacey & family

With sincere and heartfelt condolences, Mrs Z Reddy and family
I wanted to take the time to say how very sorry I am to hear that Elaine has passed away.
I didn't know her very well but I am a teacher at a school in West Drayton where Elaine was on teaching practice. She was always so lively, bubbly and friendly. She fitted into our school and was so liked by staff and children. We all remember her wonderfully kind, friendly and caring nature.
I know she will never be forgotten by anyone and we will always remember the time she spent with us at school. Elaine really was a natural teacher with such love for the children.
God bless you and your family.
Marie Williams
I wanted to take the time to tell you and your family how sorry I am about Elaine.
I didn't know Elaine well but I am a teacher at a school in West Drayton where Elaine was on teaching practice. She was a wonderful student and became a part of our school. She was always so friendly, lively and bubbly. At school this is how every remembers her and I know the children felt the same. Elaine got on so well with everyone and her love for the children was evident. She was a natural teacher and will be really missed.
God bless you and your family.

Our prayers are with you all,

Dear all,
I am the person who with the policeman called Ray gave Elaine CPR that night.
I have been thinking about Elaine so much, I am not that religious but I have been praying for her every day, just that she would pull through.
The events that night have had such a profound effect on me, please be assured that I did all I could and I wasn’t going to let her go, there was another man called Ian, he was by my side and he gave me strength he was praying for her, also my partner Maddie.
I want to express my deepest condolences; I know she is and will remain a very special person to all who loved and knew her,
Russell
We were very sad at hearing about the accident and then our loss of Elaine. I had watched Elaine develop into a superb student at DCHS and she become a close family friend. It was a pleasure to know her, both our boys loved Elaine and always looked forward to her visits. We have fond memories of Elaine especially her last visit at half term listening to Adam read and her hopes about the future now she had moved nearer, and her delight in the progress and achievement of her pupil . Our thoughts and prayers are with you all and Elaine. Sharon Gladman
Dear Russell and Ian,
Thank you for all you did that night for Elaine by the roadside. The very fact that she was able to go to hospital for treatment gave us hope that she would be able to pull through.
Losing her at all is so hard on everyone who knew her but to have had her snatched away from us so quickly on that night would most probably have made things even worse. Thank you for giving her the chance to fight and us the chance to pray and hope.
Thinking of you both,
Brina Marks (one of Elaine's many friends from uni)
Ray, Averil and Jo
I am devastated at the loss of Elaine - having known you since Elaine was born and babysitting for her when I was a teenager and her returning the favour for me now I have children. I am in awe of your faith and ability to see the miraculous in the face of disaster. She truly was a ray of sunshine and will be sorely missed. Thinking of you all and sending my love.
Jenny Le Grys (nee Bedford)
Thank you Russell, PC Ray, Ian and Maddie. May I echo the words of Brina above. Thank you so very much for your efforts and your prayers.
Elaine will be greatly missed.
God be with you.
Myles
(Uni friend)
I feel so sad that Elaine has died. I feel quite devasted that someone so young with so much life ahead of them has been taken from us. But I am glad that I knew Elaine because knowing her has made my life so bright. She was a really beautiful person and will remain in our hearts.
